Bekitzer is a popular street food bar with Israeli cuisine. The menu includes street food according to national recipes. The owners emphasize that Jewish and Israeli cuisine are not the same. The latter has incorporated the traditions of the cuisines of Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and Yemen.
The chef, along with other team members, underwent training in Israel, studied the peculiarities of local cooking and brought the right spices and other ingredients that are difficult to find in Russia.
In the open kitchen, the establishment prepares real green falafel in pita bread, traditional schwarma and about a dozen meze salads – classic appetizers with which a meal usually begins. A separate item is the dish of the day. This can be marak zanaf (oxtail soup), mafrum (potatoes stuffed with meat on a vegetable pillow) or makluba (rice with meat).
The bar list contains a collection of spirits, a selection with beer and cider, as well as homemade lemonades.
From time to time, the bar hosts events dedicated to various holidays of Jewish culture.
