This is a Russian restaurant-tavern with an interior in the spirit of the times of similar establishments of the late 19th – early 20th centuries: sunny lampshades, elegant sets of Russian porcelain, an old gramophone, piano, clay pots, grips, cast iron and other details playing in greeting.
You can find almost all the classics of Russian gastronomy on the menu. You can start your acquaintance with snacks: sauerkraut, barrel mushrooms, salted plums or pickled apples. For the second, we recommend trying homemade dumplings and vareniki.
All cooking processes can be observed in the open kitchen behind tempered glass.
The restaurant has a real Russian oven. They cook cabbage soup and porridge, bake crispy potato pancakes, bake pies, pies and three types of bread, served with aromatic butter.
Also, a whole section of the menu is devoted to dishes from the institution’s own smokehouse: cold-smoked sockeye salmon in marinade, spicy salted mackerel smoked on birch chips, tender catfish and pork ribs.
In the list of desserts, the most popular are real Russian gingerbread and beetroot ice cream with cone jam and carrot with sea buckthorn.
The restaurant also invites guests to try national Russian alcoholic drinks: berry liqueurs, herbal liqueurs, baked beets with garlic and smoked eggplants. You can take a shot separately or immediately order a set of four different tinctures.
