“Russian Rumochnaya №1” is the most popular restaurant of Russian cuisine not only among Petersburgers, but also among city guests. This is the only place in St. Petersburg where only Russian cuisine from various historical periods is presented.

In the restaurant you can taste dishes prepared according to the recipes of the era of Peter I: buckwheat porridge with chicken hearts and porcini mushrooms, stewed in a Russian oven, or fish soup, pickle and mushroom soup.

Or, for example, dishes of merchant, noble cuisine of pre-revolutionary Russia: “Pike perch under galantir”, “Pozharskaya cutlet”, “Sterlet smoked whole” and much more.

Russian cuisine of the Soviet period is recognizable, of course, by the “Kiev cutlet” or “Russian salad” cooked with Kamchatka crab.

And, finally, only here you have a unique opportunity to taste the famous “Moscow Snack” – baked bone marrow served with Kostroma salt on fragrant Borodino bread, beef jellied meat with horseradish and mustard, salad with Baltic sprats, “Fish Carousel” with Baikal omul, Far Eastern whitefish and Dvina sterlet, Azov anchovy and Gatchina trout.

The basis of the concept of the restaurant is that all dishes are also prepared according to the technology of the era when they were invented: dumplings are molded by hand, crispy pickles and pickled forest mushrooms, chicken liver pate with cognac, as well as jam, cookies, marmalade – all this is prepared in restaurant, and not purchased ready-made.

“Russian Rumochnaya №1” is perfect for both romantic, business and family meetings, and for banquets.

When ordering a banquet, you will be offered interesting dishes of Russian national cuisine: baked suckling pig stuffed with buckwheat and porcini mushrooms, stewed goose stuffed with apples and sauerkraut, stewed duck stuffed with apples and sauerkraut, whole smoked sterlet with creamy horseradish sauce.

The interior of the establishment, the uniform of the waiters, everything allows you to represent Russia of the XIX century before the First World War and the Revolution of 1917. The restaurant is divided into two main halls (accommodating 60 and 80 persons each) and a separate “Cabinet” hall for 14 persons, made in the same style and differing in small interior details.

Un the hall adjacent to the restaurant houses there is the Museum of Russian Vodka. This is the only place in the world where the largest assortment of this drink is presented, collected in one place – more than 260 types of Russian vodka. A spacious hall with a unique old exposition will help you plunge into the unique atmosphere of the 15th century, when the monks of the Moscow monastery were able to obtain alcohol for the first time. Visitors are invited to learn about the production, jokes, traditions and culture of drinking of the Russian people.

After visiting the exposition, guests are invited to taste the Russian national drink and purchase the products of leading Russian wine and vodka producers in classic and souvenir packaging.
