Legendary Pyshechnaya, which has become a protected landmark in St. Petersburg. Opened in 1958 and still retains the flavor of the Soviet era: coffee and tea are poured here from a bucket for 25 rubles, instead of napkins on the tables, cut paper.
Time has not touched the interior of Pyshechnaya either, everything is very simple and concise, like half a century ago: two small halls, several tables and a couple of racks. There is always a lack of space, the popularity of the institution is enormous.
Everyone comes here for traditional crumpets with powdered sugar – from native Petersburgers to foreign tourists. The price of crumpets is a little more than 10 rubles, soft drinks are also on sale.
